Funding Opportunities

There are many ways to support Garth Fagan Dance including monetary gifts, in-kind support, sponsorship, events and program advertising.

Outright Gifts
When you make a gift to Garth Fagan Dance, your contribution will be put to work immediately.  An outright gift may be of any value and may be made on-line at www.garthfagandance.org/donate or calling 585-454-3260 using a credit card. Gifts can also be made with cash, check or money order made payable to Garth Fagan Dance and sent to 50 Chestnut Street, Rochester, NY 14604.

Gifts of appreciated securities, stocks, and bonds also provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to Garth Fagan Dance when sold. If you have held your securities for more than one year, you may find that your gift will provide a twofold tax benefit, creating an income-tax deduction as well as helping avoid the capital-gains tax that would have been due on their sale.  If you wish to transfer stocks from a broker’s account, please contact our office: 585-454-3260.

Gifts in Honor or Memory
Honor a special individual or the memory of someone who has passed away.  Let us know who the gift is in honor or memory of and whom you’d like us to notify.  We will send a note letting the honoree know of your generous support.

Matching-Gift Programs
Ask your employer about your company’s matching-gift program.  Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations.  Simply obtain a matching-gift form from your employer’s personnel office, fill it out and provide it to Garth Fagan Dance with your contribution.

Planned Gifts
Remember Garth Fagan Dance in your will.  Bequests ensure the financial stability of the Company over time. Or designate Garth Fagan Dance as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy.  The approved language for making a bequest is “I hereby give and bequeath the sum of $______ to Garth Fagan Dance Inc., 50 Chestnut Street, Rochester, NY  14604.

Gift Pledges
Garth Fagan Dance welcomes your gift through a pledge – a formal statement of intention to make a gift.  With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time.

All gifts are eligible for an income-tax charitable donation.
