Classes from 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday

A chance for students 10 and up to become fully exposed to Garth Fagan Dance philosophy and the many intricacies of the Fagan Technique. This intensive program will provide a variety of classes in Technique, Composition, Repertory and Art Appreciation, taught by Garth Fagan Dance company members. Guest teachers will teach Music Appreciation and a special class in anatomy for dancers. The Summer Movement Institute strives to enhance the student’s appreciation and understanding of dance through its relationship with art, theater and music.
