America's Irreplaceable Dance Treasures

The Dance Heritage Coalition recently declared Garth Fagan as one of America's Irreplaceable Dance Treasures.  Mr. Fagan shares this honor with other legendary artists, including Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, Jose Limon, and George Balanchine.  Honorees must have made made "a significant impact on dance as an art form, demonstrated artistic excellence, enriched the nation's cultural heritage, demonstrated the potential to enhance the lives of future generations, and shown themselves worthy of national and international recognition."  To learn more about this monumental achievement, visit the Dance Heritage Coalition.
